Timecoded playback for Music Videos

Why choose timecoded playback when shooting a music video? It just makes sense to that’s why. Imagine coming back to your editing suite and all your footage is already lined up in time where it belongs in the song. Your job at this point is just to pick the best angle even if it was a different take it will show up as just another camera in a multicamera shoot.

How it works is like this. An audio engineer timecodes the song and provides wireless devices to each camera so that when they record, the clips contain timecode that match the moment in the song playing when you shot it. Your NLE will recognize the timecode when you define a multicam clip and automatically sync them to the song.
